What is TeaGschwendner's shipping policy?

Orders are typically shipped within 2 business days after receipt. UPS delivers to most US locations within 1-5 business days depending on proximity to our Chicago warehouse. Any order $79 or over and shipped anywhere within the 48 contiguous United States is eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping.

If you need your order sooner, we offer the following UPS services at the following rates excluding Alaska and Hawaii:

Standard UPS Ground: $8.50

Second Day: $22.95

Next Day: $32.95

 AL & HI shipping options:

Standard UPS Ground: $19.95

The cutoff for Second Day Shipping is 2:00 pm Central Time.

Do you ship outside of the US?

Currently TeaGschwendner ships within the United States and Canada. Please call (312) 932-0639 for Puerto Rican orders. Special shipping rates may apply.

Has my order shipped yet?

To see the shipment status of your order, please log in to your account and click "View Order Status and History." 

Will I be able to track my shipment?

Yes.  Once your order has left our warehouse, you will receive a tracking number at the e-mail address you have provided. If you have not received a tracking number within 3 business days of placing your order, please feel free to contact our Customer Service Department, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time, at (312) 932-0639.  You may also reach us by e-mail at

How do I return an order?  

We want you to be happy with all of the items that you have ordered.  We will gladly accept back any item in its original condition that was purchased within 30 days of receipt. We will also cover the cost of return shipping on any orders which are incorrect or damaged. We cannot cover the cost of return shipping for items that are simply unwanted.

Online returns will not be accepted at any of our retail locations.

Will the shipment include a receipt with pricing on it?

Yes. We include both a packing list and a receipt so that the recipient can verify that they have received the goods that they have purchased at the correct price.  A receipt is also sent to the e-mail address provided by the purchaser when an order is placed.

When a package is sent to a person other than the purchaser, or if the purchaser specifically notes that an order is a gift, only a packing list is included.

Can I include a personalized message in the shipment?

Yes. We are more than happy to include a personalized message. Feel free to fill out the message section during checkout. We will hand write the message on a gift card and deliver it with the package.

What if the gift recipient wants to exchange something?

I am not familiar with the Metric system. Can you help me?

Naturally. The conversion chart below may prove useful:

1 kilogram (1000 grams) = 2.2 pounds = 35.3 ounces

1 kilogram  = approximately 325 eight ounce cups of tea

100 grams = 3.53 ounces

1 liter = 33.8 fluid ounces

How can I determine the price per pound?

To determine the price per pound, simply divide the kilogram price by 2.2

Price per Pound = Kilogram Price / 2.2
