I turn to this when I want a bold cup of tea or a kick-start. Very tasty, without bitterness. With this tea, I use a slightly smaller scoop of leaves for my teapot. I drink it plain, although most people probably drink this with milk,

I tried a couple of Assam teas until I found this one. If you are looking for a dark cup with a superb malty sweetness this will be the right choice.

I thought Assam Mangalam was my favorite tea, but now I find Assam Hattialli to be superior in malty sweetness, honeyed earthiness, and all that an Assam should be. A cup of Assam Hattialli with milk and sugar starts my day off with a smile of satisfaction. I love it!
